Bible Society - Louise Sheppard

 

The Wootton Bassett Bible Society Action Group have been in existence for more than 100 years (although there are none of the original members still on the committee).  There are representatives from most of the churches in Wootton Bassett and we organize several events during the year to raise funds

for Bible Society.  Each year we focus on a different area of Bible Society’s work - most recently we’ve raised hundreds of pounds for Ethiopia, China and Nepal.

 

We are passionate about ending Bible poverty – and working for a day when the Bible’s God-given revelation, inspiration and wisdom is shaping the lives and communities of people everywhere.

 

That’s why we are working to make the Bible available in the most relevant form. It’s also why we are finding NEW AND INNOVATIVE WAYS of allowing the Bible to connect with the fabric of everyday life. And why we are working with the CHURCH to help it live out God’s story in its daily life.
