Lent at St. Bartholomew’s

 

LENT LUNCHES

The format will be soup cheese and bread with a basket for contributions to support the Mundri Link.  Wenda Wray has volunteered to coordinate the lunches this year and she is asking for contributions of soup and bread – see the notice board.

The lunches will be served from 12.15pm until 1.45pm in the Church Croft on Wednesday 29th February, 7th, 14th, 21st, 28th March 2012.

HANDING ON THE TORCH

 

Thursdays in March from 7.00pm until 9.00pm

in Sacred Heart Church.

Christianity is the largest movement our world has ever seen.  It continues to grow at an immense pace – especially in Asia (including China), Africa and Latin America.  At the same time, Christianity in the West struggles to grow and – perhaps – even to survive.  In this course we consider some of the reasons for this and what it might mean for individual Christians, for churches and for Western culture, in a world where alternative beliefs are increasingly on offer.
