Pentecost

 

Ten days after Ascension Day, Pentecost marks the day when the Holy Spirit filled the disciples and early believers with strength and the confidence to carry out this task. The church was born.

 

The Holy Spirit in the form of a flame rested on the heads of the disciples, and so the colour used for this day is red.
