At the Eucharist, we remember with thanksgiving the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ – and the giving of Himself to us today in the forms of bread and wine, which are for us His body and blood.

In this act of worship bread and wine are offered and we offer ourselves to God, bringing to him our joys, our thanksgivings, our sorrows, our doubts.  At Holy Communion, we receive Christ himself and thus nourished, we go out into the world, to live our Christian lives in service to others.

All who are confirmed in the Church of England, or who are in good standing in their own church, are invited to receive Holy Communion.

The Eucharist may be celebrated simply, or more elaborately.  At the main Sunday morning Parish Eucharist, we are helped to see God through the use of beauty and mystery – in music, through the vestments and through the traditional ceremonies of the Church.  During the week the Eucharist is celebrated on each day except Tuesday, these services have a quieter atmosphere.  They last about half an hour and are the focus of the worshipping community’s ongoing life of prayer and thanksgiving.
